As a music lover, there’s nothing better than unexpectedly coming across a great band. And on Sunday night, that’s exactly what happened to me. Every Sunday night The Blue Bell, Conwy hosts Open Mic with Craig and Friends. This week we were all treated to a performance by Saint Loe, who’d traveled up from Bath University for the weekend.

Introducing Saint Loe - live

Who Are Saint Loe?

This four piece pop/rock band consists of Ben Willingham, 20 from Colwyn Bay, Danny Waldron, 21 from Swindon and twins Alex and Dan Clewlow, 19 from Ludlow. They all study Commercial Music at Bath University, on Newton Saint Loe campus; hence the band name. Saint Loe formed in October 2015. Drummer Danny, however, joined in May 2016.

What Have Saint Loe Been Up To So Far?

The band have been gigging regularly down in Bath, and have been received positively, recently even headlining a gig at Moles.

You can watch Saint Loe playing some of their music on YouTube. Remember to subscribe to their channel while you’re there.

Will Saint Loe Be Releasing Any Music?

Good news! Their single ‘Fall In’ is already available on iTunes, Soundcloud and Spotify. You need to listen to this; the harmonies are just stunning.

The Music

So, I guess all that remains is for you to hear them play.

In addition to this video, you can see another video of live footage from Sunday night on my Music page.

Like what you hear? Keep up to date with Saint Loe news on their website. Show them your support by heading over to TwitterFacebook and Instagram to follow them.

I’m loving the style of the web site; these guys already have the sound and the look. The next big thing, watch this space!
